  Pencil etches slowly seep

longing echoes from 

my heart. Quietly, softly they spill

in a torrent of peaceful ecstasy.

I want to fall in love ...

with life

I want every breath that I take to have beauty, depth, and meaning. I want to walk out the door and be overwhelmed with all that surrounds me. I want to hear the message of every bird's morning song, see the dance of every tree, and feel the magic secrets carried within the very breath of the wind. I want to dance beneath the stars and serenade the moon. I want to feel awe in the beauty of a raindrop and be mystified by each sparkling snowflake.

I want to bathe in the beauty of life, and in it's love, feel my spirit come alive. 

Today

Today is a brand new day, a time for new beginnings, a time to shed the burdens of days past and begin to plant the seeds of tomorrow's miracles.

I have not chosen today because a magical number has changed on the calendar.  Today is the day because I have made a conscious choice to leave behind the pain of yesterday.

I have toiled long within the cocoon of this life lesson and today I prepare to depart the darkness of the shell of painful untruths. Today, my spirit will spring forth and fly. I know that at times I may have to push against the currents; both those created by others and those created by myself. But I know that with each moment of flight, the truth and spirit of my wings will begin to carry me higher and higher.
